NCC unit of our college is a part of 9 MAH. BN. NCC SOLAPUR, Maharashtra Directorate. NCC parades of our college are held on every Sunday (7:30 AM to 11:30 PM) from July to January each year. Besides parades, cadets also participate in various camps held at State, National and International level. These include Thal Sainik Camp, Army Attachment Camp, National Integration Camp, Annual Training Camp etc. Cadets are also motivated to participate in Republic Day Parade at New Delhi. Lt. Kiran Chapte has been looking after the NCC unit since 2020.
QUALITIES OF CHARACTER, COURAGE, COMRADESHIP, DISCIPLINE, LEADERSHIP, SECULAR OUTLOOK, SPIRIT OF ADVENTURE, SPORTSMANSHIP AND SELFLESS SERVICE AMONG THE YOUTH TO MAKE THEM USEFUL CITIZENS.
A HUMAN RESOURCE OF ORGANISED, TRAINED AND MOTIVATED YOUTH TO PROVIDE LEADERSHIP IN ALL WALKS OF LIFE AND BE ALWAYS AVAILABLE FOR THE SERVICE OF THE NATION.
A SUITABLE ENVIRONMENT TO MOTIVATE THE YOUTH TO TAKE UP CAREER IN THE ARMED FORCES.
The NCC is a responsive, learning and continuously evolving organization. Its activity is guided by
certain
core values that we endeavour to instill among all ranks of the NCC. These include the following:
Based on the aims of NCC, the organization has laid down training syllabi for the cadets. The syllabi for
the Senior Division cadets cover a period of three years.
First year NCC cadets are given only institutional training which covers Foot Drill, Arms Drill, Weapon
Training, Map Reading, Field Craft, Battle Craft, Self-Defense, Leadership, First Aid, Civil-Defense,
Aid to
Civil Authorities and Community Development, Hygiene Sanitation and Adventure Activities etc.
Second year cadets can appear for “B” certificate examination after the completion of two years’
training
successfully with more than 70 % attendance and participation in at least one centrally organized Camp.
“B”
Certificate Examination is conducted centrally by the Battalion at Solapur. Criteria for passing “B”
certificate Examination are minimum 50% of marks in theory and practical separately.
Third year cadets can appear for “C” Certificate Examination after the completion of three years of
training
with more than 70% attendance and one more annual training camp after passing “B” certificate
Examination.
